To Bronze or not to Bronze...

I am personally a huge fan of bronzing powder. I use it all year round, and just use it lightly in the winter.  I tend to be very particular about my bronzing powder because some are pressed powders and some are loose powders and some feel very chalky and some feel dusty. My biggest peeves are when bronzing powders are too iridescent and metallic. Those shimmery bronzing powders shouldn't be used all-over in my oppinion. I think you can use the shimmery bronzing powders as a highlighter but all over tends to make people look shiny and sometimes greasy depending on their skin type.  Then there are the bronzing powders that make people's faces look dirty?! Do you know what I am talking about? The ones that leave a grayish look to them? Therefore I am very particular about the bronzing powders I use. I have a few favorites but my current favorite is:

I absolutely adore this bronzing powder by Philosophy. It is by far the best bronzer. I love that there is no need for a brush and that the powder is unable to spill in my make up bag. I also love that the powder doesn't get everywhere like when being applied with a brush that needs excess powder shaken off. It has a mirror on the top of the cover that doesn't get all dirty with the powder like compacts with the mirror on the inside. It goes on evenly and works well with an olive complexion like my own and was versatile enough to work on my friend with very fair skin. Definitely a great addition to your makeup artillery.

I think I might have to try their Moonlight Illuminating Powder next. Has anyone used it? And what do you think about it?

  1. The moonlight product looks amazing! I have never tried bronzer since I'm so pale.
