Whimsical Wedding

Although I don't know if I believe in love that lasts forever. Perhaps that makes me seem like a pessimist, but I view myself as a realist. People change. I'd like to believe that it is possible and that maybe I will experience it but nonetheless I hope to one day get married and enjoy a beautiful wedding.

I love watching those wedding shows like Whose Wedding is it Anyways?, Bridezillas, Platinum Weddings, My Fair Wedding, etc. I also love checking out great wedding blogs such as Once Wed, Eco-Beautiful Weddings, Green Wedding Shoes, and Style Me Pretty.

First, look at this sweet whimsical wedding. I love the swing! How adorable!?! (found at Once Wed)

Adorable right?!

Second, this beautiful chic cotton wedding gown by The Cotton Bride:

Look at this adorable and whimsical wedding below! I love the blue color palette. (found at Green Wedding)

How precious are these paper windmills?!
and the kites are a great addition that remind me of childhood.
and how about this dessert table?!
What do you think?!

What about an adorable Vintage Circus Wedding?! I personally love the charm and wonder of old circuses. I am a huge fan of whimsical wedding themes as well as being a fan of the ultra modern and sleek wedding with the lounge feel. I am open to all styles really. But check out the Circus Wedding below. (found at Style Me Pretty)

Check out this creative alternative to the typical floral bouquet.

I apologize for the Picture Overload! I got a bit carried away! =X

What color palette would you use?
What kind of dress would you wear?
Would it be Vintage or New?
What is your ideal ring?
What would be the theme of your wedding?

I'd love to read your thoughts and ideas!

A healthy start...

So over the past year or 2 I have put on tons of weight. I stopped being active and become a terrible eater who ate late at night. Dating someone who constantly was eating, did not help! He ate a lot because he burned a lot. But eventually his level of activity declined and we both put on pounds. Lots of them!

Now I am free of that relationship. The unhappiness contributed to my weight gain. I lost myself and now I am trying to get a hold of my future and happiness. So I am planning to get back into shape. I had a membership to the gym and was going with my cousin when I was back in Providence but now that I am in New York I don't have anyone to go with and I am off track.

It isn't that I lack independence but when I am at the gym with a friend the time passes quickly. Otherwise when I am alone I am constantly looking at the clock thinking "How long has it been already?!" But when I am with a friend I usually chit chat and before I know it an hour has passed.

I have friends who have recently used the program P90x and they have had AMAZING results. I was skeptical but seeing them transform was crazy. I think I may do another Beachbody program however. I am leaning towards a program known as ChaLean Extreme or TurboFire. You can check them out here.

I was also checking out some yoga mats and bags and found these on Etsy.

They are by Ogorgeous
on Etsy.

Does anyone know where I can buy a fitness journal/diary??
I am looking for something with charts already set up so that I can track my progress.

Snap a pic!

So lately I have been thinking about things I have bought in the past and have not used. I am infamous for getting my mind set on something and wanting it so bad that I finally purchase it or convince someone else to buy it for me! =X

For example, Lomography! I admired it and wanted to get a camera so I could try my hand at it and voila! My ex bought me a camera and film and books so that I could do it.

I wanted to sew, so he then proceeded to buy me books and a sewing machine! Have I learned to sew? Nope!! Why u ask? Hmm because I need some guidance and learning from books is too boring to keep my attention.

Now I am interested in polaroid transfers. This at least won't cost too much money, seeing that I have like 3 cameras by chance. I just need to purchase film. I need to start something and actually finish it for once!
Check out more great transfers from SheHitPause Here!

Mundane Sunday

So I was supposed to go shopping for clothes today as well as meet my Dad in the city but that won't be happening. He unfortunately has plans to head from the city to a friends BBQ and I unfortunately locked my purse and keys to his house inside! So now I am going to have to wait for him to get out of work before I can come up with a solution. Ughhh what a day this is going to be!

Anyways, the stuff for my shop is coming along well. I will be buying new materials this week for new innovative glasses. Here are some of the things I am working on this week:

Apologies to Vegetarians and Vegans!

Today was a good day! Where shall I begin?

Today was a day spent with Dad in the city. Went to the Bowery, Chinatown, Little Italy, and Soho. We walked and walked and walked! I love to walk around the city. I love to walk in general!

We met in SoHo on Broadway and Dad kept me company as I shopped. It sounds as if I am 12 years old but no folks...I am 24 years old and I hang out with my father by choice! lol We went to Pinkberry for some yummy frozen yogurt because the city humidity was really getting to us. Then later we went to the infamous Katz Deli.

This is where apologies are in order. I am a carnivore! Well Omnivore! We went to the deli and got delicious overpriced pastrami sandwiches.
Yummy pastrami sandwiches with a plate of pickles!
($30 though! oh well...)
This is their own Iced Tea which I thought was far too sweet!!
Those are the tickets you are handed as you walk in the door,
You get them marked when you order and you pay @the door when you leave.
For those of you not familiar with the 122 year old deli, it was the place used in the film
When Harry Met Sally.
Love this sign that I just happened to be sitting under.

After we ate we walked back to Broadway and Prince to visit a friend of mine, Duchess. She is this great bag designer who vends in the city on the weekends. She makes one of a kind bags that are unique, edgy and creative. You must check her out if you are in the area. Here is one of the many bags I have by her.

It was a good day...

Today was a pretty good day! The beginning portion of the day consisted of BORING errands! Boo to that! But the remainder of the day was pretty good. I woke up made my dad a quick little birthday breakfast before he headed to work! (@5am) Then took a nap, and finally got up and ready for my day.

I headed to Soho to try and find my dad a gift but finally ended up getting him a video game. Yes my father still plays video games at the age of 45! But I think I may go to Banana Republic tomorrow and see if I can find him something there too.

I met up with the lovely Tiffany Tse (fashion blogger) of Style Sophisticate after talking only through emails for sometime. (It almost sounds like we met on match.com or something! but no..) She came across my Etsy store, and lucky for me she liked my glasses! I sent her some and she used them for a shoot! So when she said she wanted to meet up while she was visiting in NYC I said "Of Course!"

We met up at Topshop in Soho on Broadway. (Great Store btw) She is an absolute doll! She is too sweet! She was just deciding on a few items and may I add it was a very hard decision!! She had this amazing black silk asymetrical cardigan type thing. (pictured below)
This piece was the one she had the most difficulty deciding on. It was between this and this adorable cream colored one-sleeved dress that reminded me of a vintage frock that had a little square of delicate lace. Unfortunately, I cannot find it on the Topshop website to show you! Take my word for it, it was adorable. She decided on the black cardi anyways! Even after I made a klutz move by pulling away my purse, which snagged my shopping bag, that then snagged her hanger/cardi that unfortunately knocked over her coffee from Dean and Deluca! Needless to say there was some spillage =( Sorry Tiffany!! But all worked out in the end and she bought the black cardi and this awesome laser cut tee with an unusual/unique hem below.
I think it would look awesome with a pair of acid wash jeans. I am particular about the acid wash look, some pants are executed well and some look atrocious. But a cute pair would look amazing with this shirt.

I saw a girl wearing those boots today on Crosby! Loved them and found them on Polyvore! (from Asos)

More Looks that I Like =)

I Love the Blush color of the tops she is wearing. I also love the flirty nature of this simple outfit.

I adore this look! What style for a 16 year old?! I love the vintage quality of this tunic/dress. I love how it has the scalloped sheer hemline. Sooo Pretty! What a great find!

She always has adorable outfits! I love this dress from Topshop. It seems that a lot of people get lucky with great dresses from there. I may have to try my luck at ordering a cute dress
This is just TOO CUTE. I love her tights and noticed they are frequent among the looks that are on Lookbook.nu and so I decided to check them out and see how much they are and where I can purchase them. You can get them at MyTights.com for $19.95 here.

Lookie Here Again...

Love this DIY paper dress! Amazing!

Bright Ensemble! I love this look. Could I pull it off? Probably not but she does and I love the yellow bag and watch. It ties in so well with her floral print top.

Lovin' the trend of leather shorts although they are a big oxymoron don't you think? Shorts are meant to be worn in warm weather as a cool and comfortable garment and yet they are made with a heavy material such as leather. Strange....but I love them anyways.

Flowers and Bows. I love soft color palettes such as this! And I love the punch of bold color of her lips. I wish I could pull off red lipstick but it just makes me look like a vampire. lol

Lookie Lookie Here...

Was browsing Lookbook tonight and came across quite a few outfits. It's been awhile since I browsed the site, but figured I would in search of inspiration for my shopping outing tomorrow. The ones I think are faves are below:

"YEAH-RIGHT"  I like this look for some reason. The black peeking out from beneath the hem of the shorts, and the Black Tee.

"Love the way you lie"  I love the look of this outfit from head to toe. The cute t-shirt dress with the brown belt and sandals. Loving her ring as well.

"Back for More"  I love this flirty ruffled shirt with the peach tone bag that she pairs it with.

"Lace and Linen of Yesterday's Gowns"  I love the romantic sleeves peeking out of the leather jacket. And I especially love the blue and yellow accents.

"Love the sun"  I love this airy teal summer dress! I love this whole outfit. That bag is amazing!

"What I Wore to Prom"  I love the drapey quality of this black dress! I WANT IT NOW!
