So Christmas Came and Went...

It is so funny that we all get prepared for the holidays by decorating, shopping, making lists, and wrapping gifts and then in one morning/day its all over and the excitement dissipates. LoL I got so stressed for about an hour of gift exchanging. Gotta love it. Well I did get quite a few good things despite me not giving anyone a list,

I received one of these awesome gold highlighter pencils by Benefit Cosmetics from my Mom. Awesome buy on her part because when I went to the counter with her to purchase some other stuff, the girl told me she had only 2 left and they were going to be discontinued. So therefore I was left with no other option but to buy one more! =) I wanted to purchase the store's last one but I kind of felt silly dropping $40 on two highlighter pencils. So I only bought one. But I think I love this pencil so much because it glides on so smoothly and really catches the light and so I use it on the inner corners of my eyes. LOVE it.

Mom also bought me this, because I was in need of a new bronzer. Although I asked for one without shimmer because my skin tends to be a bit shiny on its own, this one seems to be not overwhelmingly metallic. I like it alot.

I also got quite a few things from MAC too. Blush, Lipgloss, Mascara, etc. I will definitely end up buying some more things to add to my makeup bag later, because I think it is time for me to clean out some of the old stuff. In fact, I think I need a new makeup bag in general because the 2 that I have are dirty from spilled makeup and broken powders. I want one that doesn't have the fabric lining, because it gets filthy.

Cheating Gene?

So I am watching the Tyra Banks show and they are talking about a possible "cheating gene". I am not sure if I believe that there is a cheating gene or rather a learned behavior. My father was not faithful to any woman he was with and I saw that he was a womanizer, and so was his father and his two brothers. It was probably a learned behavior. What are your takes on this theory of a "cheating gene"? Believe it or not? Here is an article on it.

On a lighter note, Urban Outfitters has quite a bit of fun/funny gifts that I wish I had ordered in time for the holidays! Like these hilarious note pads:

Shnazzyy Shasta!

Soooo I have been on the hunt for a Vintage Shasta Trailer for some time now. Probably about 9 months, and I have found one close to home! Not sure if I can scrounge up the money now that the holidays have drained my wallet, so go figure! We'll see what I can finagle! But anyways here it is!
I am in love with a $2000 trailer. Love at first sight? Perhaps! I think I would change the baby blue to a cute turquoise color. Afterall Turquoise is my favorite color! In fact I am dying to purchase Essie's Mint Candy Apple nailpolish. I think its just adorable and could look really cute on with some of my large cocktail rings.

I might have to just order this among a few other colors that I love from them.

Bah Hum Bug

I'd like to say that I am in the Christmas spirit but unfortunately I am not. Maybe that is because I don't quite have the money to spend frivolously like usual. Too many bills and responsibilities. Gotta love being an adult right? I remember being 13 wishing I was 16 so that I could drive. Wishing I was 18 so I could say I was an adult and buy cigarettes if I wanted to (not that I smoke) lol. And then the long wait to be 21. Reaching 21 was like Victory! But now the years are going by too quick! But even this isn't an ideal Christmas I still love the holiday season and the decorations. So I found these awesome DIY trees at Apartment Therapy.

Bows & Pizza

Bows are feminine and make me think of childhood. Mom would put me in frilly dresses with bows on them, and bows in my hair, and bows on my frilly socks! I hated it then BUT love them now. This post has been inspired by the 1988 movie Mystic Pizza. A movie about 3 young girls working in a Connecticut Pizza Place who all face different situations in love. Julia Roberts had purchased a dress for $160 that was black, strapless, and adorned with a large contrasting white bow. I had to laugh because I had tried on one similar at a store only months ago.
Unfortunately this was the only picture I could find of her wearing the dress!
But then I started sifting through websites I regularly visit, and I found a few dresses following the same trend.
Found at ASOS here.

Insomnia...

Well it seems that Insomnia has gotten the best of me yet again. Eh well, what can you do? Browse online of course! So here I am at 5 in the morning looking on one of my fave shoe sites, Piperlime, for cute pumps and I came across these edgy/sexy things:

I love these Rock&Republic "Nika" Pumps! And what do you know? Piperlime has only one size left, and its mine! Well I had to put them up here because I love them and I almost feel like it would be a good DIY project for an old pair of plain black pumps I have. I'd apply the studs and rivets to an embossed black leather piece to adhere to the back of the shoe versus adhering the studs on with glue and having it look cheesy. Well I think the insomnia is subsiding, sleepiness is sneaking in. Night (morning)?

and the List Goes On!!

So here I am continuing to desire things that I cant afford because they will put me further behind on my bills, but a girl can dream right? Sure she can! That's what I am doing! Duhh... So here it is:
I found some amazing little dresses that I would love to add to my wardrobe! Like this flirty little print dress with feathers printed on it.
Absolutely adorable! Should I splurge on this one? I think I'd really like to! Plus I have a pair of grey ankle boots that would look PERFECT with this dress! Among other shoes that would go nicely. Ahhhh Decisions, Decisions, Mistakes! =)
Then I came across this fringe dress that reminds me of a few of these necklaces that I have seen on Etsy.Etsy seller Iheartnorwegianwood offers these adorable fringe necklaces that I am quite fond of. But this dress I found reminds me of these necklaces and so therefore I am even happier about this great find from Karmaloop.
It also comes in a grey with blue fringe! I like it but am not sure how it would look on me. But I won't know 'til I buy & try, right? lol I have a problem with shopping as you have probably gathered already. I wish I could say that my list was over! But 'fraid not! I found a cute lil dress that I think would look awesome with a purple leather belt I have! Its a bit bright but I like it for some reason? Anyways you can see it Here.
Ill have to finish this list later, I must go continue browsing things to buy for other people, for a change.

So the Christmas List Continues

Insomnia and Online Browsing do not mix! I am wired, or maybe just overtired, and I am on the hunt for Clothes and Accessories and Shoes! Why must I torture myself?! I have yet to figure that out so in the mean time I will post all the awesome finds I have come across! I am sure of one thing though, and that is that no one will want this lovely list of mine! So instead I will share it on here and hope that I get a few of these things by chance! ? Maybe? Probably not! lol

So I came across an amazing long sleeve lace shirt from Free People at Zappos and Nordstrom. I would love to pair this with my gray skinny jeans and a pair of ankle booties or maybe dress it down with a pair of black leather flats. And Add a cute leather jacket over it for a mix of leather and lace. Add a long chain or if the jacket is embellished that should be enough! Just $48! Unfortunately I am having difficulties posting a pic so you'll just have to click away on those links! AND if you prefer a dress like the long sleeve tee Zappos carries that too here!

So I also have been creeping around ASOS! Love this site as well. Amazing stuff that keeps me on there for hrs! Like these Amazing cotton skinny pants that were seen on Jessica Alba.
Love these soo Much! But then again, how could you not? A pair of black skinny pants is essential! I'd pair them with a plain white tee like THIS one also at ASOS. Love shirts that are off the shoulder. They make me feel casual and comfortable but they still can be sexy. But Keeping with the theme of Lace, ASOS also has this dress that is amazing and a bit reminiscent of a dress Britney Spears wore however I like this one better =)

Then there is this dress with a chiffon bubble hem that is completely versatile!

!Comes in Black, Purple, and Pink. It can be worn strapless, bandeau top, or one strap as seen above. Definitely a cute addition. I prefer it in Purple or Black but that is just me. Then finally there is my last find from ASOS, which is this floral dress that reminds me of a cute vintage dress you might find in a quaint thrift shop.
I love the dress but do not like the pairing with the shoes. I think it would look cute with a pair of distressed vintage boots or maybe a pair of sandals. But that's enough for my ASOS finds. The rest of my Christmas wishes will have to go up later!! There is plenty more that I want! But I try to convince myself that I in fact need them too!

Cashmere!

So, I went on a bit of a hunt for more fold-up ballet flats, and came across Cashmere flats!! Can this be true?! Apparently so! They look so comfortable! I would pair them with a bulky sweater that possibly hangs off the shoulder, with a cute pair of skinny jeans! I am in love!! <3 If anyone knows of any other flats that fold up please let me know!

Here are those Cashmere Flats!

First Entry

So this is my first entry! Where to begin? Well the reason behind this blog is to share my interests and creative inspirations. I have a love for all things unique, vintage, charming, creative, and interesting. I love fashion, art, interior design, travel, reading, and all aspects of food! I love to cook and eat. Maybe eat too much? Well the holidays are quickly approaching! I have unfortunately been distracted and have failed to even begin shopping. I however came across a few things I'd like to buy myself! =)

I am an absolute lover of ballet flats, preferably the ones that fold up. I had a few pairs from Old Navy that have been destroyed from wearing them too often, as well as 2 pairs from Aldo. But I was browsing around a blog called A Cup of Jo, and found an entry with these adorable ballet flats! I was ecstatic to see that they were only $50!
They are a must have for any wardrobe! Now I need to decide which ones I must have! I want them all but that's not feasible at the moment.

You can purchase them Here.
